” MOG Builders undertook a major renovation of our home which included the total refit of a two-storey, 4-bedroom brick dwelling and the construction of two separate buildings, to include a three-car garage and a 35 sq m studio. The work was completed on time over the agreed period of 6 months.

” We recently engaged Dominic Martin and his company, MOG Builders, to complete extensive renovations to our hundred year old Queenslander in Newmarket designed by Andrew Gildea Architects, also of Newmarket. After searching unsuccessfully for a builder who was able to both interpret the vision of the architect and meet our budget requirements, we were fortunate to hear of Dom and set up an initial interview.
We were impressed from the start by Dom’s communication skills, his passion for quality, pride in his work and his business’ reputation and his appetite to take on a challenging brief. In the initial meetings Dom was open to catering for our needs in terms of schedule and cost and as he scoped the work and refined his quotation, he liaised with us to discuss ways of maintaining the difficult mix of quality, time and cost and was always honest about achievability. He also offered us the opportunity to view a similar but much larger project as an example of his work and this, together with the verbal praise of his other clients, gave us faith that his actions matched his words.
As part of the contract process, Dom took considerable time to condition us, as new players to the building and renovating game, to the realities of what we should expect, how the job would proceed, payment conditions and how any agreed alterations and unforseen situations would be dealt with. We found him true to his word and his presence onsite supervising his excellent building staff and the various other sub-contractors minimised any problems and solutions to issues were openly discussed, recommendations made and favourable outcomes achieved.
The quality of the sub-contractors work, particularly the cabinet maker and painter, was to the standard Dom indicated when recommending them to us and although we sought other quotes for some items, we were pleased that we went with his team as he was able to ensure that the site was harmonious and we got the finish we were after. Jamie and Scotty, as Dom’s immediate carpentry team, were friendly, polite and professional and obviously both enjoyed the challenge of the task set and also in working for Dom.
Now that we have our “new” house and are enjoying the lifestyle that only a quality renovation can bring, we are pleased to say that there have only been positive comments from all those who have seen the house and we have and will continue to recommend MOG Builders as our builder of choice. “

The overall finished product was far above our expectations and has elevated the overall appearance of our house to the modern era, which is well suited for any new developments. All the subcontractors engaged by MOG Builders displayed a very professional and courteous manner, and were always accommodating and keen to do any requested changes or extras that were not part of the original contract. Also your suppliers that we had the opportunity to deal with were very professional and helpful. There was no upsell, and they made sure our needs were met.
All of our family and friends that have seen the finished extension have only had good things to say. Already we have had three of our friend’s comment on the rendering and have asked who did it and for how much.
